In the book ASSATA, an autobiography about an black panther who was excused of killing a new jersey state trooper and the trails she went through in the jail and being treated as not just a black person but being African American in general.
Assata is a strong black one and one of the people that i never even new about. Assata is strong and independent . She shows these characteristics buy not saying a word to the cops when she was brutally beaten and chained to a hospital bed when they were questioning her about the New Jersey State Trooper that she "Killed" Assata never sold any body out because she new that either way they were going to try to put her friends and her in jail and wouldn't care.
Assata never loss hope or faith even when they charged her with all these crimes and robberies she never did. It just showed me back in those times that people didn't care about African Americans and wouldn't care if we were dead or alive in the first place. White People only thought we were here to serve them or get whipped.
Assata is another person i respect in life and wanna know more about her. I know that there was people who were willing to die for our race and to make a change and that means the world to me.
i like how you listed all of these traits of the character and backed them up with textual evidence and now i really have an idea of what this book has to offer
